The answer to buying 'candy eggs' would be reliant on what stage of the Gen cycle we are in.
For instance, I don't need candy now and wouldn't bother, but if Gen3 drops tomorrow, I would probably be more interested in them.

...so I thumbs up'd as I can see a time I would use them, even if it is not right now.

I thumbs down'd, as I don't need candy now. I'm nearing lvl 40, which I think I'll do "slowly". Of most useful pokemon (Dratini, Larvitar, Rhyhorn, Eevee, Machop, Abra, Gastly, Chansey) I have 500+ candy of so there's also no need to have such an egg for the cool pokemon.
