Quick question

Is Driftblim a good Machamp waller upwards of 2000 CP? It's Stamina is 6th best in the game, and it has an immunity and a resistance to Fighting, with strong ghost type moves to back it up. And second question, is it the only viable mon that will come from this event? (I'm sorry, but the formes of Girantina are a joke)

It could make the fight drag along for a long time but without suppeffective damage against machamp people can still mindlessly mash the screen and win i'm afraid. Giving it some Flying moves could have changed that for sure

If the player doesn't dodge, Machamp will be wiped out by Shadow Ball's 100 base power.

I run 6 Machamps most of the time and don't dodge. I would expect to lose a Machamp to Drifblim, but that unless there's an extra Espeon and Alakazam in there as well, I'm not going to be fussed.

What he said, you could kill one Machamp but there would be 5 still coming. If anything i hope it at least makes people play smarter, be it dodging (not likely) or having a ghost killer in their gym attack team, but with Machamp buff in stamina incoming it will be even more effective than before

Don't need a ghost killer, Drifblim's tankiness is low average so anything that deals neutral damage wrecks it.

Obviously your choice to do that, but don't you value your time? You would save half a minute of wailing against a triple resistant target by swapping into another attacker.

I'm not in Singapore, so it's very rare that someone's actively golden razzing what I'm taking. If someone is doing so, I have other teams and tactics to pick off what's causing me the issue. 25-30 seconds is a negligible amount of time from the rest of my life.

Even if I wasn't worried about golden razzes, I'd still rather save that 30 seconds every time I take a gym. I could be doing something more productive like catching pokemon.

It's very good against Machamp specifically, so good that it takes longer to defeat than Blissey (EDIT: with new stats) if the attacker uses only Machamps. Problem is that outside of that triple resistance, it offers very little, and any other good gym attacker destroys it easily.
