i don't fully understand defensive breakpoints. i ran sims it looks like verse level 40 Suicune 14/15/15 would need to be lvl 31.5 vs. 15/13/15 lv 31 so I understand that. For people voting for 15/13/15 assuming you "pay" the extra power up to get above damage breakpoints would there ever be a point where the 14/15/15 would perform better? I am trying to understand this better not only for this situation but future, it has to be more complicated than " always choose 15 attack" i would assume but i could be wrong?
Ideally, you would just power up both (I would...).
I voted for the 14/15/15 since it's still 97% and yeah, the attack isn't 15, but if powered up or maxed, it really won't make much difference in actual play. The odds of a 97% is still lower than a 95% so I'd do that one personally...if I HAD to pick only one.
Also, for my own enjoyment, I get more happiness of a 97% than a 95% as well.
Yes the 14/15/15 is 1906 98% vs 15/13/15 1905 is 96%, you seem to be in the minority by a lot and me as well lol I too also like the idea of 98% but if it doesn't perform as well I'd choose 96%, I plan to power up all the legendaries to min lvl 30 so I want to be smart with my dust that's why I only plan to power up one currently have 910k dust

Again, we play the game to have fun and I simply have more FUN from a 97%.
At the end of the day, the 96% won't even do more damage probably, not even with the charge move (my guess). With 910k, I'd probably take both to 30 at least since bulky Electric attackers are pretty rare.
I also feel more finished with a mon if it's 97% vs. 95% since I am hesitant to power up 95%.
