Quick move details
This was helpful in understanding the new quick move changes: https://pokemongohub.net/moves-changed-heres-full-list-changes/
Looks like Lick and Frost Breath are back in a big way. Confusion, too. Should be interesting to see how this re-shuffles the deck...

Some moves get reverted to their old state while some are even worse off for some reason.
Why did Psycho Cut get nerfed to where it's worse than before gen 2 while Bite and DB are back to their old DPS values.
Because I don't remember people complaining about gyms always having 5+ Alakazams in them.
I'm glad they changed back to some degree although I wish it was closer to the middle ground. I do not understand why water gun is buffed. One of the most pathetic parts of the game is that diversification and planning your attack was pointless when you can in reality just get 6 Vaporeons (that pretty much everyone has by level 25) and go to town. Hell he will ruin a Tyranitar so now that new beast is basically a terrible defender too. Does anyone think this makes sense? I may as well just use my 1500 eevee candies to make a full roster of maxed Vapes and quit with all the other mons.
I actually liked the Gen 2 attack speed change. It made dodging much more important. Now anyone can brainlessly tap the screen and will win against any monster. Giving quick attacks more power and slowing them down took some advantage away from attackers and made many quick attacks relevant on defense. Vaporeon and many others are now worthless as a defender. As water gun now only does 5 damage per hit and solarbeam does 180. I just ran through 5 vapes with one venusaur. Gym defenders had a chance with the gen 2 update to make a real impact vs attackers, but now they are nothing more than punching bags to get beat on. My poor poliwraths are now garbage. bubble 25 down to 12 are you serious?! 200k dust wasted. I dodge when i attack gyms and have amassed 200 max potions, 50 hyper, 75 max revives, 80 revives why? Because when you dodge all attacks you can run through any gym easily. Anyone who did not like that quick attacks became more powerful but were slowed down probably are not good at battling. The fact that niantic double switched the quick attacks proves their incompetence. They reverted back to the original attack speeds because of blissey. A stupid looking pokemon who is in my opinion a pathetic pink blob.
I agree that making the game click spamming and easier is a negative for the folks who are more hardcore/gamer type of folks...(or who actually want to think/plan/dodge/whatever to make the game more challenging).
I think the slow attackers were annoying and making ALL mos with high EPS moves the best is short sighted also, but don't like making gyms even EASIER than when gen 1 was around with massive charged move damage now.
Blissey was hard for low levelers, but changing it like this is a bit too much IMO. Blissey could be beat by 2 people and solo if you had certain mons easily.
I think having prestige be that much harder was actually a good thing since it separates the weaker players from the more skilled ones (like having only 1 mon to train with early on).
Ultimately, and I've believed this from the start...
Pokemon Go is NOT a competitive game...the Lapras event showed that already and there will never be that much balance/skill needed since it's still a mobile/casual game.
Like being on a minority team will make gyms impossible for some folks, we just got to enjoy what's tossed our way or move on...(I'm planning to still play of course, not too upset really with slow quick moves and this change back, but sorta really liked the mental challenge of coming up with some strategies to deal with the new challenge).
Yes...it was definitely better.
But there are too many whiners who didn't have all the work done by other on spreadsheet so they could just 'no brain' the entire game.
All the 'cheat sheets' were obsolete, and the new ones were taking too long - so all the 'instant gratification...do it all for me' players didn't know what to do.
Now they can just revert back to the old way they memorised after someone else worked it all out for them.
Apparently games are no fun unless someone else already has a quick guide explaining exactly how to do everything.
Are you guys actively coming on here trying to get traffic from gamepress to go to pokemongohub?
Every couple of days I see the same people linking rushed information on that site, on to here in these forums.
It is almost like you are advertising that site (with rushed and flawed efforts) on other fan sites.
...or am I missing something here?
