Question on evolutionary items

Based on the video games, will any of the items introduced with gen 2 have a use on pokemon to be released in future generations? My quick research indicates that the sun stone might, but not the others

Only the sun stone for 2 pokemon in gen5 and one more in gen6. No other pokemon uses kings rock, upgrade, metal coat, or dragon scale thats not gen2.
What you should be ready is the potenticial of new evo items for certain pokemon in gens 3,4, and 6 maybe 7.

I wonder what they are going to do with stuff like learning moves before evolution though, for example the Piloswine to Mamoswine evolution, it has to know ancient power or something?

I don't want them to reshuffle ancient power to piloswine and actually make you have to roll it in order to proceed to mamo lol

I'm hoping Niantic has the good sense to reuse some evolution items instead of introducing new ones. For example, Porygon2 to PorygonZ could just use Upgrade again.

What they need to do is make it fair!

Remove all gen1 Pokémon from the wild that require evolution items and put gen1 evolution items in the game or start putting gen2 evolution Pokémon in the wild and remove gen2 evolution items.

It makes no sense that I can catch Claflable, wigglytuff, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, flareon, jolteon, vaporeon, richu, etc in the wild but not scizor, steelix, sunflora, porygon2,etc
