question about new tracker behaviour

I just had moment where my friend had snorlax in the tracker and my tracker showed excatly same pokemons, expect i didnt have snorlax but had paras instead.

There was some distance between us but i dont think it made any noticable difference.

Anyone else experienced this kind of behaviour?

And yes, we found the snorlax, but it never appeared in my tracker.

This is scary, cus i would had missed it without my friend being there.

This was my friends first snorlax but not mine.
So he got shadow picture in tracker and i never got any picture.

This is exactly why we need the ability to filter pokemon from the tracker. If we're unlucky it can be filled with trash and the rare pokemon don't show up.

Exactly, filtering them up would be perfect imo. For example, adding a "disable tracking" option on a Pokemon's page that makes its species disappear from the tracker (or at least show it only if nothing else is there).

It's possible when your friend caught a pokemon and you didn't. It's gone in his tracker because he already caught. But it's still in your tracker.

The new tracker is the worst thing ever, period.
It just picks random mons from around pokestops that are as far as 1km away, I just see my tracker fill with pidgey, rattata and weedle 99% of the time, and when something different shows up it is just a spearow, an ekans, or a goldeen for example, useless mons...I myself have found for example a bulbasaur or a pikachu on a pokestop that my tracker shows there is a pidgey there, seriously Niantic? Filter, switch between sightings and nearby, anything, but let us find the mons we need and are around us, not the trash I have caught 20.000 times and that are 500m away from me...

Yeah new tracker is horrible, I'd love to go back to not knowing exactly where that blastoise is! ?
