Ugh, I have to get a new phone, I tried to solo Alakazam today and the first attempt was near success, if I had made the dodge with my first Ttar I would have won. But every subsequent attempt the lag stacked so by the last attempt I was losing 1/2+1+1/2 mons with 1 charge move. I only got it to the yellow with 45 seconds left and all 6 were dead. Not to mention twice it occurred that when I max revive before entering the lobby and then go in none of the mons are revived/healed.
Problem soloing T3s? Buy a new phone
iOS11 just took the last breath out of my 3 year old iPhone 6 so I bought a new iPhone 8. Had been struggling with solo raids I managed before for a while and today was the first test against Gengar with Focus Blast.
It was pure joy, no problem dodging even with Confusion Ala and Esp. Missed one single dodge in the middle of a Ttar/crunch but it was going to faint anyway. Took it down with 29 sec left using only 3,5 pokemons.
Have to admit that the easiest Gengar is actually easier than the easiest Machamp.

Experienced the same, soloing Machamp with iPhone8 was way easier than 5s. Admittedly, the one with iPhone8 had Bullet Punch/Close Combat, so an easy moveset, but it was much cleaner. I look forward to trying it against Heavy Slam, and I don't know if I have the beef to solo one with Dynamic Punch. But the new phone helps, no question.
Man, it sucks that the phone makes such a difference. I'm level 38 and have never soloed a tier 3 boss even with level 35-39 attackers. I finally had to accept that my old Galaxy Note 3 can't hack it. I can rarely fire off charge moves, so I usually spam my fast move since I rarely get more than 1 or 2 charge moves off from all six attackers combined because the sensitivity of my screen isn't very good. I swipe frantically but still eat charge moves left and right because the phone won't let me dodge. Add to that the fact that I start the raid 4-6 seconds late and end it 3-4 seconds early and there's no way it's happening.
Hopefully in two more months I can finally get a new phone.
