Prioritizing powering up

In which order would you power up the following mons for attacking purpose (and maybe thinking future defensive purpose when gyms will have species limit).
1. Espeon 96% c/fs
2. Flareon 89% fs/oh
3. Jolteon 91% ts/tb
4. Lapras 84% fb/b
5. Golem 89% rt/se
Currently I have none of these species powered up and levels varies from 15 to 20 so there is no notable difference.

Edit: Sorry, i deleted my Posting instead of editing it. I stated:
(1) Jolteon / Lapras
(2) Flareon / Espeon
(3..99) others
(100) Golem

To Golem:

Of course, it is far from being useless. It can be regarded roughly as a rhydon with a negative 50 Stamina-IV. Its only advantage i know is double effectiveness of rock versus fire / flight (Charizard). For any other matchups, it is simply a cool looking weeker Rhydon.

For me, stardust is to valuable for a second best Pokemon. I invest into the best ones. This should explain my priorization.

Thanks. So you think Golem is useless? Pokebattler ranks it easily in top 10 with all attack strategies.

he is there as a generalist. I have an Eq one (not a SE one, but very close on pokebattler classification) and I only use it when I choose so out of boredom vs. Gya or Dragonite, but is subpar compared to your Lapras or Jolteon.

That's good point. I have already maxed Rhydon ms/se so I think there is no need to power up golem.

Golem is far from useless! He's probably the most versatile big attacker on my team - great against Snorlax, Blissey, Dragonite, Gyarados, and even Lapras and Fire types if you ever see those around. I almost always bring him in battle on the 6th spot and he never disappoints.

You can technically argue for it being placed 5th in this list but it's certainly not No.100 after 97 others, that is totally misleading.

Are you going to power up Nidoqueen, Omastar, Tentacruel, Sudowoodo over Golem?

No. I would power up 13 Dragonite, 17 Exeggutor, 13 Rhydon, 13 Gyarados and 40 Venussaurs before i invest my first grain of stardust into Golem.

I agree, this was misleading, I should have explained this. Golem is one of those pokemon where i do not look for IVs but just evolve the highest CP.

BTW: I indeed have a level 31-97IV-Tentacruel, it sometimes sits in a low gym.

I'm in love with double rock moves Golem.
Rock is OP
It's great generalist, and so wonderful against both Dragonite, Gyarados, does great job vs Snorlax (resisting normal moves).
I have a 100% with RT SE always maxed and always in my anti Drago team (who has 6 maxed Lapras? XD)

not six maxed Lapras, but is he better on power (how many Dragonites he can kill - i.e 1.2 - 2.9) than a double ice Cloyster or a double ice Piloswine that I have plenty at lvl 30? Or being in Italy you are among the ones that don't have the above? (I know there you get piloswine like I get larvitar :) ).

I would say:
3
2
1
4
5

In my opinion:
2 (must kill those Blisseys)
3 (Gyaradoses are quite common)
4 (it can already kill Dragonites in a row, but needed to be powered up because of the nerf)
1 (a backup against Blissey)
5 (most useful against Charizard, which isn't really common)

All except Golem, others are efficient attackers for the Big 7

Golem with double rock moves is a beast, he can take down easily some of the big7 and also when legendary birds are out he is gonna be even more of a beast.

I'd power all of them up to level 30 right away unless I had a Rhydon with rt/se, then I'd probably skip the Golem.

If strapped for stardust (and why would you be with all those great movesets not powered up), I'd power them up depending on local meta. If I was in your situation I would go:

  1. Lapras. I still don't have a truly great Dragonite killer. This one would do nicely.
  2. Jolteon. That moveset WRECKS Gyarados and Gyarados is everywhere! My second most used attacker after Exeggutor (as Vaporeons are THE most common defenders here).
  3. Flareon. Killer moveset. Wrecks Exeggutor but can be used against Snorlax/Blissey as well due to high DPS.
  4. Espeon. Strong attacker in general.
  5. Golem. Solid, but not really amazing against any common defenders.

Jolteon and Golem first, for the sole reason that most people won't have them prepared for gyms. The only powered up Jolteon I have seen in a gym is mine, and Golem isn't used much because he is inferior to Rhydon on defense.
