Pretty sure tyranitar doesn't double resist psychic

The tyranitar page Indicates that it has a double resistance to psychic. Just noticed. Rock doesn't resist psychic, but dark does. That's only a single resistance.

Dark is immune to psychic which they treat like a double resistance for Go.

Here's my immune cheat notes:

Normal is immune to Ghost
Fairy is immune to Dragon
Flying is immune to Ground
Ground is immune to Electric
Ghost is immune to Fighting
Steel is immune to Poison
Dark is immune to Psychic

My question is, why does Gengar not take 0.364x from Machamp since Gengar is Ghost (immune = 0.51) and Poison (resistant=0.714)?

They should but they don't for whatever reason. My guess is they think it would cause too much imbalance thus making certain Pokémon too desirable and hurting the diversity! we are looking for.
