Prestiging against Chansey as the bottom Mon

Last night i encountered a friendly level 7 gym with a 1058 CP Chansey and the next mon was 2300 CP. I wanted to use mons with CP less than the Chansey. I must have used a bunch of different lineups with failed attempts (time ran out). Finally I was able to defeat Chansey with a 1056 CP Eggy with ZH/Sol and a 1035 Dragonite with DB/DC in that order with less than 10 seconds left on the clock. Even using the same dnite and eggy switched with dnite going first didn't work. This was serious work! Haha. What are your experience of getting 1000 points off Chansey and what mons have you used that works?

Oops. I meant 500 points. Impossible for 1000 points off of Chansey.

I prestiged a friendly gym yesterday that had 2 Chanseys at the bottom (800 CP and 900 CP). Generally, I don't try to match the CP of the Chanseys for optimal prestiging, I just match to the mons behind them.

I could get through both with an Arcanine with 1900 CP (Bite / Fire Blast) by dodging the charge moves. Rest of the mons in the gym were over 2000 CP, so I still got good prestige once I got past the Chanseys. I used 6 mons around 1900 CP and got about 3500 prestige after clearing the gym (was Level 9). Took me 3 swings but I got it up to Level 10 eventually.

Those Chanseys sure are annoying though (it's not really a fight, it's like pounding sand). Really not looking forward to Blissey...

If there's a Chansey in a gym you want to prestige, you should probably just give up on getting any prestige off Chansey and focus on the next ones.

Yes that will be my strategy next time. But I was so determined to get 1000 points off Chansey for the challenge. I actually had to power up the Dragonite from 890 CP to 1035 CP to get the job done! I wasted a lot of time, potions, dust and dratini candies to succeed. Not worth it next time. Haha. But finally beating it was a sigh of relief and satisfying.

I tried to get into a Level 9 Friendly Gym that had 6 Chansey's in the bottom! It took way too long, and I gave up. I really wanted to be on top of that gym or add another Chansey. Haha. The gym stands for a week or so, and then gets knocked down, but the same group of people rebuild it as a Chansey gym everytime it gets knocked down. So frustrating to prestige and get in though....

Wigglytuff with Pound/HB is very effective against Chansey. Currently, my P/HB Wigglies are a little above Chansey's CP range, but I'm working on acquiring a couple of lower CP ones specifically for prestiging against Chansey. In the meantime, If there is a Chansey at the bottom of a friendly gym, I'll pick my lowest CP P/HB Wiggly to take care of the Chansey, and then try to keep the rest of my team at or below the CP of the Wiggly.

Machoke with low kick and cross chop at around 1250 cp gets the job done well enough for me. Don't bother dodging anything except charge moves. Even those don't hurt much coming from Chansey.

Yeah I only dodged about half of the charge moves which was dazzling gleam. And used my charge moves as soon as possible

I have similar experiences than you do. Tried 4 different lineups against chansey. All of those 4 less CP than the defender. Everytime i run out of time. Eventually I gave up.
