Prestigers may NOT BE GONE!!!

Think with me.
Someone from another Team put a CP3000 Rhydon in a gym. So I Will Go there and battle the gym against that Rhydon. My objective is make Rhydon lose All his motivation to get kicked out of the gym so I can claim It.
A : I use my Vaporeon 3000CP and Destroy Rhydon easily, he loses 100 motivation.
B : I use Vaporeon 1500CP and humiliate Rhydon because I beat him with an attacker HALF Rhydon's CP. Rhydon loses 1000 motivation.

What you think of my idea?

Let us first have a look at niantics ideas.

I agree with both of you. It's best not to make any big moves until we see how the new guy system works.

I think there are many threads discussing that exact idea...and threads that have been generated by the discussion of that idea.

My bet is they still lose the same motivation.

This makes more sense. This gives incentive to have a 3000 CP Vaporeon rather than a 1500 CP Vaporeon.

What will be the point of powering up attackers?

Could be, depends on how exactly it will be implemented.
Since you will not be able accomplish it solo anyway you could just grab your tankiest mons and rely on your buddies.

I said this before... but potions. Let's say a 800 cp chansey gets demolished 4 times by a 3000CP whatever (-200 demotivation each battle). You could use the same 3000CP mon to take out the 800CP chansey.
Let's say ot takes 4 battles to demotivate a 3000CP blissey by -750, a lot more revives and potions will be used.

Don't get your point, if it will work like prestiging, weaker mons should demotivate faster/more potion efficiently.

The straight forward option would be to allow players to use either berries remotely or the prestige mechanic while present at the gym to restore a pokemon's motivation. That would allow players to continue their gym training badge and players that don't like prestige can just use berries instead.

And probably main reason why it will not be like that: do you remember that multiple topics about how many, even high-level, players who have no idea how to prestige properly? That guys should be pissed off if it will became main mechanics. But we'll see, I'm not going to transfer prestigers until new mechanics will be clear.
