Prestigers are worthless?
I have been at a wedding in central PA for nearly a week, so I'm trying to catch up on a lot of things. First, is there any value in prestigers? For instance, does my 1300 tangela have any use other than waiting for tangrowth in a future generation? If not, what did you guys do with mons like that?

I've been wondering exactly this. Does the decrease in 'motivation' reflect CP of attacker? It seems not.
I have dozens of low Cloyster, low Eeveelutions, Dewgong, Venusaur, and various Bugs that I used to prestige. If I get rid of them I feel like Niantic will go back to a CP-based result, or some kind of average from your team of attackers.
Prestigers are slowly becoming the new defenders because people wants them to be kicked out of gyms as fast as possible but not so fast that don't get any coins from them.
Defenders are becoming the new attackers because mon like Tyranitar, Dragonite and Gyarados are going down so fast placed in gyms that are now better used for raid bosses.
And well, attackers are always gonna be attackers, so I won't spend any dust or resources on anything that is not a good attacker at this point. This raids system has completely destroyed the system putting all the bets into attacking mon.
