Prestige question

Today I tried prestiging against Snorlax(2400) with hitmonlee RS/BB(1100) but it fainted and I had to use my backup primeape. When my hitmonlee fainted Snorlax health was 3/4 down. Which mon is best efficient to use to prestige against Snorlax and Lapras. Also is it possible to prestige against gengar and Alakazam due to their extremely high attack. I tried against gengar for fun and I missed a Dodge for a normal attack and my mon's health went 3/4 down. Thanks in advance guys

I use bunch of 700-800 iv machops then transfer then after prestiging

Dang it they must be pretty good for a 800% IV??

A 1200cp Wigglytuff with Pound+Hyper Beam can beat the 2400cp Snorlax, and probably with 1/5hp left. That's how good she is.
A 1200cp Vaporeon with Water Gun + Aqua Tail/Hydro Pump could do the job as well.

So as you see, when it comes to prestiging against a Snorlax, type advantage barely matters. You would just want a Pokemon with High HP and elite STAB move set and also consider the easiness to dodge.

The easiest Snorlax to beat is a Lick + Earthquake one. The hardest is, of course, a Zen + BS one, which requires very skillful dodging and timing, but it is not impossible.

Prestiging against Hyper Beam Snorlax is a pain because the game registers your dodge as a hit and will change your Pokémon and then realize oops it didn't die yet and transfer it back and oops it's dead again and change it to the next one. Then you'll be stuck in an endless loop while the timer runs out.

And for Wigglytuff Play Rough will do at least just as well as Hyper Beam.

not the answer you want, but I have a team of evolved Eevees, --> Vaps, Jolts (and Flareons only when the match up is good.)
I do not power them up. I leave them in the low 1000s. But each has the best attack according to game press and each has above 80 IVs.
They do great against most mons.
Prestige is fast and easy. I dodge charge attacks, but I want to get better at dodging all attacks in the future.

I find Pidgeot with Wing Attack and Hurricane very good to prestige against Snorlax (and easy to get), especially a Snorlax with Lick.

Easiest would be 1200 Vap IMO...enough hp to last and I've done this way back in the 1 mon prestige days as well...

I've noticed for prestiging, mons with more HPs are much more useful than attack due to high single charge move defenders.

I'd guess Kadabra or any glass cannons would be very bad in general to use for prestiging due to having to use 1/2 CP.

In general, the fighting types are pretty bad in this game. The type advantage is not significant enough to make a difference. Machamp with KC/CC is the best fighting type (and pretty cool to battle with) but still not the best matchup.

Vaporeons especially with HP and Wigglytuffs with pound/play rough or HB are best against prestiging against snorlaxes. Also small dragonites with DB/DC if you have any.
