Preparing a Dragonite Team: Ice Edition

Now that the Legendary hype-train is slowing, I am anticipating (hoping for?) level 4 Dragonite bosses and want to create a good raid team. In looking over my mons with ice, fairy and dragon moves, I have some decent ones and some with potential. I figure about 4-6 of each of the 3 types (ice, fairy and dragon) would give good coverage. I am L36 and have about 800K dust saved. Here are my top ice candidates for evolution, powering-up, or experimentation (muhawhhaha):

Cloyster, 100IV, L20, FrostBreath/Avalanche, CP 1414 (358 candy) Cloyster, 87IV, L30, FB/A, CP 2080 (358 candy) Articuno, 89IV, L20, FB/IceBeam, CP 1648 (24 candy, +300 rare candy) Articuno, 84IV, L20, FB/IcyWind, CP 1643 (would need a CTM) (Out of 5 Articuno, these are my 2 best) Lapras, ~85IV, L23, FB/IB, CP 1674 (111 candy) Smootchem, 93IV, L20, CP 692 (71 candy) Jynx, 76IV(12atk), L25, FB/A, CP 1762(71 candy) Pilowswine, 80IV, L31, PowderSnow/A, CP 1931 (953 candy) Pilowswine, 80IV, L27, PS/A, CP 1724 (953 candy) Swinub 93IV, L25, CP 464 (953 candy)

I trashed a lot of higher IV ones before TMs became available -- dang-it. Are 4-6 good ice attackers about the right number? Where would you suggest investing the dust/candy for the biggest bang? Thanks y'all!

I would actually wait until dragonites become raid bosses before spending any dust on your counters. You may find better ones and who knows when Niantic will rotate raid bosses.

Mewtwo, afaik, will also be a better generalist attacker than Dragonite and will replace Dragonite in many situations where it is currently used. I wouldn't invest too much with Dragonite counters and would just roll in with your 6 best ice types.

Lapras is definitely the best IMO, unless the boss has hurricane, in which case you want the ground typing of piloswine...
