Premium Raid Pass = rip off

I was under the impression this would have multiple charges when I bought it. Its exactly the same as the Raid Pass. The only thing premium about it is the price! I feel cheated.

It is a robbery without any doubt, Niantic is tricking a lot of players with this new raids...People that are not in large areas are completely screwed, for example you enter a raid, you have to use the raid pass before you even see how many people is inside, if you can't defeat the boss, you lose the pass, no matter if it is the regular one or the premium one...

I won't pay a cent if I don't have any chances of winning, there is no way I can solo anything above level 3 so why bother? They will get tons of money until all players realize that...My raid pass should never be consumed until I see if I have a chance of winning that raid, in an area with not so many players will be impossible to beat level 4 raids, even level 3 ones could get you screwed if you enter the lobby and see there is no one there a part from you...

This is a bad joke Niantic, I am very mad with this, you don't give a single chance to solo players or small towns, make at least the raid pass only disappear if you actually enter the fight, not before you even enter the waiting players screen, it is very lame, even for a company like them...

So true...maybe someone can suggest this to Niantic since it's only fair...

At least I can probably solo level 2 and below...maybe I can finally get a Gyarados.

You should be able to solo lvl 3 also, soloing lvl 2 is super easy.
Gyarados is level 3 isn't it?

My experience in lvl3 Vaporeon raid was not good at all, so i doubt whether he/she can solo it. There is no Gyarados as raid boss

Yep. This is actually the first micro transaction I ever did and boy that was a waste of good money. I did win and got some items but even then... 1 use... Will never ever ever ever ever buy one again. Couldn't they make it at least 3 uses? Same as incubators?

Definitely could have used better wording (pokemon go hub)
"Usable multiple times a day, with multiple purchases"

I disagree, collecting 100 coins per day is now very achievable. One days worth of coins to be able to compete in one extra raid per day. So you potentially get the chance to catch a rare Pokemon every day for free, not to mention the items you will be rewarded with.

i think some times they will put the raid pass on sale like the eggs and stuff.

Well, this is gonna be their new way of making money. I don't really see it as unfair. We still get one free pass every day. If you want more than one raid a day you pay. Annoying, sure. Unfair, no.

I do agree that you should be able to see how many players are in the lobby before using a raid pass though.

I don't think the cost is too high, but agree that you should see inside as well...

Would be nice to get more TMs since that's all I really want from a raid...

Incubator sales are probably nerfed after this since high IV mons don't matter much (and hurt you if over 3k) and RAIDs provide better mons since they are like hatches, but are now fully evolved...

They don't always provide better mons. I did a level 4 raid yesterday. It was a Rhydon. 31k CP. The Rhydon I caught was the trashiest trash. My appraisal was garbage. Probably would have put it in the 70 - 74% range. It was only "strong" and the stat analysis was the second worst rating you could get. It also had the worst moveset for Rhydon. So no, they don't provide better mons. I don't think I've ever hatched a pokemon this shitty. The mons I've hatched have always been at least strong and have the second highest stat analysis. I promptly turned my raid mon into candy because it was wasting space in my inventory.

Only good thing about the raid was the rare candies and the charge TM that I got. These raids are hot garbage and they are only there to trick people into paying money for raid passes. Without legendary pokemon raids, they are shit.

My point about they providing better mons is that you know INSTANTLY what a raid boss is before attacking...

Before, with a 10km egg, it can be constant Mantines, etc...

Now, 100 coins can give you a half decent chance to get a Snorlax if you have enough trainers close to you...

Raids will be the new endgame. The days where players held 10+ gyms for weeks on end collecting 100+ coins and 1,000's in dust are over.

Still a better deal than an incubator in my view.

Except with an incubator I have three chances to hatch something worth using. I did a level 4 raid yesterday and the mon it gave me was fucking worthless. It was a 70 - 74% Rhydon with the worst moveset. Luckily I did that with my free pass. I would have been pissed if I spent 100 coins to get that garbage. I also get more candies when I hatch a pokemon. I got 6 rare candies from the raid. I can get more candies from a 2km egg... Granted, I can choose the pokemon I get the candies for with the rare candies and I did use them on a pokemon that would have required me to walk 5 km per candy. So it saved me 30 km of walking for candies. But I also could have hatched that pokemon and got 3x that many candies, and maybe even gotten a decent IV mon from the egg. These raid passes are without a doubt a worse purchase than an incubator. Unless they add legendaries to the raid pool and make them a level 5 raid. Then a raid pass purchase will be justified. Because you wouldn't be able to get those legendaries any other way.

I have bought two premium raid passes today. Remove the income of 50 coins and it is a cost of 150 coins. Unfortunately the raids were level 1 and level 2 as I cannot count on meeting other players (tried a level 4 solo - don't do it!!) and I didn't get any TM's. I did get a few candy, which is very nice. Was it "worth" the 150 coins compared to three incubations? Maybe. I was happy to do it to try out different level raids today, but I'm not sure that I will be buying premium passes for level 1 raids going forward. Maybe level 2 raids, or even level 3 if I can find one other player to take them down with. I would LOVE to be able to complete a level 4 raid, but in my small town it seems unlikely to happen. Today we had a level 4 Rhydon raid in the middle of the "busiest" pedestrian street in town (still not very busy, but it won't get better than that) at peak hours and no one but me showed up. Later I stopped a couple of my age (~40) playing pokemon and asked them if they wanted to join. They were levels 27 and 30 (I'm level 35) and we were not particularly close to beating it. Would have needed at least one more player and probably two.

I bought thinking it was for multiple uses. I also though what a deal! I am going to focus on level 3 and 4 gyms. Two of us defeated an Alakazam. It took tries as the first one was solo. Also, it allowed me to bring in a second team within the 200 seconds. So for the higher levels, treat it like a Blissey and use high DPS and don't worry about dodging. Of course, I have over 300 revives so I don't care if the mon runs out of gas.

I plan to use the premium passes for level 5 only. I am the one I have for now.
