Predictions on November's community day?

Bagon or Slakoth would be very nice :D

Since we got Chikorita in September and Beldum is up later this month, my guess is Cyndaquil for November.

On the days that are not starts they don't seem to repeat types so I'd say pry not bagon. My guess is trapinch or ralts after cyndaquill

Considering the previous pattern that Mareep lied between Dratini and Larvitar (not talking about starters), I'd say Trapinch has a higher chance compared with Ralts. Ralts may have its own CD after release of Gen 4 to get a Fairy type fast move.

If ralts eventually gets one, as November's liektoy to be cyndaquil, gardevoir wont get anything to make it relevant unless they make a fairy charge move a fast moves, of which theres no precedent, so if it got one, it wouldn't be useful beyond what it already has.

I'd say its Cyndaquil for fitting the pattern, and maybe bagon or trapinch after wards in December. I dont think slakoth would get one as it directly would contradict why niantic gave It yawn, and if they did keep the spirit of the ability truant in a new fast move, it still wouldn't be good

Agreed with the thoughts of Ralts. But assuming Gen 4 could be released sooner or later and Togekiss should be given the first Fairy fast move, there's a chance for Ralts afterward.

The only unreleased Fairy move that would become a fast move is Fairy Wind, which Togekiss is likely to learn. Gardevoir, however, can’t learn Fairy Wind in the main games so it won’t learn it in GO. They’d have to change a current fairy charge move to a fast move, like Dazzling Gleam or Draining Kiss. If they changed Dazzling Gleam to a fast move that would probably upset many people who use Blissey.

After gen IV drops and if togekiss gets a fairy fast move, Gardevoir' use is absolutely gone, its a hard fighting counter and realy nothing else

You can't put 2 Togekiss into a gym, Gardevoir will still have a use as the second best Machamp wall.

And as an attacker against fighting types, Gardevoir will still have higher DPS.

Gardevoir has one last hope in Misty Terrain, akin to what they did with yawn buy turning a non-attacking move into an attacking one (yawn still does damage despite having 0 attack). But I think that's very unlikely.
The slakoth family might still get a CD CHARGE move, so it's not completely impossible.
I still bet on Bagon being the next one after Cynda.

Depending on if Ralts got a CD before or after Gen 4 they'd need to do something for Gallade as well. A fairy move won't help it being Psychic/Fighting. It would be interesting to see if they made two distinct exclusive moves that were evolution dependent or if they just picked a singular one both could learn.

They could do fun things with research too, like have some tasks reward the Dawn Stones needed or have research encounters be exclusively male.

The Gardevoir/Gallade problem kind of seems like they'd just go with a psychic move for both of them. Which wouldn't be *that* bad for Gardevoir as its pure psychic DPS is currently hampered by an awful charge move.

I like the idea of Gardevoir getting a fairy move, and Gallade getting a fighting move. No reason that both can't get different moves when evolved.

Maybe Gar could get a fairy fast move (yes, I know all the issues with that), and Gallade could get Dynamic Punch. That'd be a heck of a CD.

Gallade can't learn Dynamic Punch in the main series so it won't get it in Go. They would need to add Drain Punch and make it Frenzy Plant levels of good for it to stand out in any meaningful way from Machamp. Not getting access to Counter doesn't help it either.

November will almost certainly be Blast Burn Cyndaquil. With last month's being Chikorita it will continue to follow the pattern they set with the Kanto starters.

December will be interesting. Trapinch or Bagon seem to be the most likely in my opinion, though I'd accept Ralts too.

November: Cyndaquil - Blast Burn Typhlosion
December: Trapinch - ??? Flygon
Or
December: Slakoth / Scratch/Low Kick/Body Slam Slaking
January: Totodile - Hydro Cannon Feraligatr
February: Bagon - ??? Salamence

Why would we even want a trapinch community day if I may ask?

For the same reason we wanted a Chicorita community day.

We didn't. We got it anyway. There's always next month.

Some think that adding Earth Power with good stats would help it carve a small niche for itself. Which would be all well and good until the minute something better gets it.

The Trapinch line sports some pretty rad shinies too, which is more than can be said for Chikorita.

A decent shiny, a possible niche use for Flygon, whatever bonus they give to the event (dust, exp, etc.). Flygon is pretty lackluster but the same could be said for other community days in the past

It could be a preffy good hard electric counter, triple resistance with not terrible stats, if earth power is added and is good, could fine use as a raikou killer and eventual Zekrom killer

We'll have plenty of time to get Garchomps before Zekrom comes and unless it gets no STAB moves, it'll be a far superior electric killer.
Of course budget options are always nice to have, but Garchomp's existence really hurts Flygon's chances of having its own niche.

Yeah, I really wish Flygon had slightly better stats and was Dragon/Bug instead of Dragon/Ground just because it’d be a unique type combination and not totally outclassed in every role by other Pokémon

Being outclassed by Garchomp always bummed me out about it as well. Dragon/Bug would be a cool typing to have for sure.

It's going to be either Cyndaquil or Totodile.

I don't know if there will be a typical Community Day in December as the typical days for CD are really, REALLY bad in December (either the weekend right before X-Mas, when people are doing last minute shopping OR travelling after school gets out, or the weekend before New Years, where people are travelling home OR are far from home and not in places great for CD).

What I think would be really, REALLY cool is something like a "12 Days of Christmas" style where each Weekend day from the 15th to 30th will have the previous Community Day Pokémon spawning in huge numbers, with the moves they had during their Community Days. And each of the 6 days would have a different bonus associated with it., with Triple Stardust and Triple XP being used twice. (so 3x Stardust/3x XP/2x Candy/4x Hatch Distance/3x Stardust/3x XP) That would give everyone 6 chances to get the Pokémon they missed during the last CD's and 6 chances to evolve to get those moves.

That's what I'd do if I was Niantic.

Limited to CD hours?

Either way I'd love another 5 FP Venusaur or BB Charizard or another 3 SD Ttar.

But, given the season, would we end up with Santa Pikachu with Surf?

Cyndaquil if they keep pokedex order. Hard to see why they wouldn't.

Some CDs have been earlier than around the 20th day, they could easily just put November a week earlier and December halfway through the month. Long wait until January CD doesn't matter because most people have holidays in between and there's going to be a Christmas event.

Although not likely I think Electrode with Explosion would be awesome lol

Would be fun to throw into gyms or use in raids.
