Prediction: What is the smallest number you think can beat Groudon

Entei lost to 3
Suicine lost to 4

What's your guess for Groudon?

There were some American Yahoos who beat Suicune with 3...all Raikous...I'm not likely to try with 5...I might try with 6, and they'd have to be pretty good***so people that are pros (maybe they get some YouTube kickbacks?) probably end up being 4, since IV sniping super easy right now and people sitting on million(s) of dust and dust is barely needed right now

Assuming no weather boost, My guess is 4. Suicune can be beaten by suboptimal (non maxed dragonites, Zapdos) teams of 4 and has been trioed as well with a Raikou heavy team.

With Groudon, defense is higher, and the availability of high DPS counters is rarer (gyarados and exeggutor come to mind), but I can see high level teams of these two species take it down with 4.

Clarification: Gyarados and Exeggutor are not more rare but their DPS probably is outshone by Raikou. Not by a whole lot though.

Higher def than suicune which was 3 man. Probably 4, maybe 3 on a rainy day with a Gary squad.

My guess is 4 without weather boost, But 3 people with a bunch of W/HP Gyarados on a rainy day will take out a MS/Eq Groudon easily.

With weather boost ridiculous things are possible. I was able to Duo a B/FB Ttar today (cloudy conditions) and my best mon was a Lv31 C/DP Machamp (granted I was carried but I contributed enough to succeed).

Solar beam hits like a truck gyrados needs to be over 3000 or gets caught in feint bug even in neutral weather. Sunny day is going to be brutal

This is sadly true. My 2771 barely survives, but if a few more DT go off before the SB it will be toast.

The first Groudon raid I did had 12 players, during neutral weather, and we won with 153 seconds left, so winning with 6 should be no problem. And then I'm not entirely sure what the player distribution was, but at least some of them were only level 20-something, and I saw some marginal attackers. So if everyone had high-level optimal attackers, I think it should be doable with 4, probably 3 during the right weather.

I am a lvl38 trainer,I did my first groudon today...with 15 people...out of which 5 were lvl40 good players....we finished at 200sec left....But that solar beam groudon knocked 4 of my pokemons...The solarbeam kills fully powered perfect gyarados in one short and almost kills my fully powered exeggcutor. Articuno can stay for its solarbeam to give 2 blizards....with very good team and mons...7 trainers are doable. I have done 3 trainers entei and 5 trainers suicune raids successfully when I was lvl36.

Based on the spreadsheet here, looks like a minimum of 4 for Groudon. That spreadsheet is pre-weather bonuses though, so lower might be possible.
