Is a practice mode possible?

With Kyogre being obviously harder to hit than any raid before, can they not implement a practice mode for raid bosses, or any mon for that matter?

Why would they? They want your money.

Because with this current mon, I personally won't go out of my way to try and catch it knowing I have little to no shot of hitting good throws. Plus my town gives everything to opposing teams, so I only get 7-8 balls.

You have to find some wild Pokémon that is similar in distance and catch em all to get the feel. I wonder if zubat or ponyta/rapidash might be good surrogates?

Practice on Mantine if you can find any.
Kyogre is angering me.
i`m 1/5 in Kyogre, caught all legendaries to date and none are under 50% catch ratio, i caught just the 1st Kyogre with the 2nd ball and it`s 2316CP 15/15/13 96%(I`m satisfied with this, the other all were under 2300CP) I think I`m done till Rayquaza; will not be wasting anymore premium passes for this boss.

Scyther seems to have the same right-center-left move thing going, but it's 'attack' animation is a slash instead of a breach. If you want practice, find wild Scythers, or do some Scyther raids (less pressure and no organizing, but same cost [1 raid pass] as Kyogre raids).

Of the current common mons, Rhydon comes to mind as one where my curve falls just short sometimes. I wonder about practicing an intentional overthrow of Rhydon (try to curve on line but over its head) just to get the distance.

Ask yourself, "will Niantic make more money with this idea?"

If not, then the answer is no.
