PowerUp higher IV or 15ATK or higher CP?
So i intend to power up 1 of each legends to lv 30 but i dont know which is better
Lets assume they have the same moveset
Should i power those with 15 ATK since they cant defend?or higher IV?or higher CP at lv 30??
Need to clear bag space n i have almost 280 rare candy n trying to use them b4 i start spamming moltres/zapdos raids
HP/ATK/DEF - IV% - CP AT LV30
Articuno
1. 13/14/15 - 93.3% - 2489 CP
2. 12/15/13 - 88.9% - 2485 CP
3. 15/12/15 - 93.3% - 2478 CP
No.2 has 15ATK but lower iv n cp at lv30 then no.1
Tyranitar
1. 14/15/10 - 86.7% - 3104 CP
2. 15/12/14 - 91.1% - 3103 CP
Lugia
1. 15/15/12 - 93.3% - 3070CP
2. 13/15/15 - 95.6% - 3070CP
I dont really get this, both have 15atk, 1 has higher iv but same lv30 CP?
Btw anyone watch trainertips latest vid? BrandonTan had a cameo, currently highest exp player, travelled halfway round the globe for gofest

On my own account, I always powered up those that has the highest IV values followed by CP and then attacks.. That's my personal choice coz for me, no point going for 15 attacks if the IV is less than 80%... Balance stats is the best option if you have 2 or 3 Pokemons which has the same IVs.
For your case, I will choose 1st option for Articuno as it has quite a balance stats with highest IV and CP. For Tyranitar, I will go for the 1st option assuming 14 is stamina and 15 is attack. If not, I will take the 2nd option. For Lugia, I will go for the 2nd option coz of higher IV. Extra 1 point for the total stats. :D
Attack is clearly most important in this meta.
Articuno: 2
Tyranitar: 1
Lugia: 2
I have to say though, that whatever you do, the difference will be negligible. We all like to kid ourselves that IV's are super important, but it's vastly overrated. Sure there's a big difference between a 0% and a 100%, but we're often comparing 91% to 87% or something like that. A few points of IV difference will not be noticible unless you JUST cross a breaking point for quick move damage, which is going to be different for each matchup.
Thats what ive been thinking too.
Are those small percentage really gonna make a difference.
But since resources are limited and im planning long term i would like to fully maximise what i currently have.
Actually my plan was just to power up 1 if it had abv 80% iv. But i keep raiding legends just for the tms n rewards that i had to make a choice to power up the best 1 i have
If you have to take a Tyranitar from lv 33 to 34.5 because of a 14 ATT instead of 15 to get over the rounding it's expensive. Like 20 something candies and 15K+ dust expensive. As long as the other stars aren't terrible you won't notice the difference for them but for attack it can be felt. That's why for an attacker the ATT stat matters.
