Power up an Omastar defender?

I don't think I've ever seen Omastar in a gym. I just evolved one with Water Gun / Rock Slide, 10/14/12, 1927cp (level 26). Level 30 would be 2223cp. Worth it?

Not really from a competitive standpoint. Low stamina makes it a weak defender, plus it has a double weakness to grass. Usually Omastars are good at prestiging against fire pokemon because of their double resistance which makes up for their low HP, but yours is already too high in CP.

Still, if you want to put something different in gyms rather than the same 5 Pokemon you see all the time, then you could say it's "worth" powering. Worth is subjective after all.

Who puts fire pokemon into the gym anyways?
Old days there was Arcanine but i think Rhydon has taken its place.

In really high level gyms you won't see any fire types but in most middle of the road gyms I do see Flareon often. I also use her on defense for prestiging value.

Hi there. Omastar is my most favorite Pokemon and I had the luck to evolve one with the same move set as yours. Omastar is an ok'ish defender, except against grass Pokemon. It might not be the best defender but it's amazing to see something else in the gym for once. I have never seen anyone else putting a Omastar in the gym besides me.

Mine is currently level 31.5 with 2308 CP and 84.4% IV. I'll continue powering it up because I like it. I'd say your decision depends on the average CP in gyms around you and how much love you give to Omastar.
