It's the best offensive moveset for Porygon2.
Hidden Power (normal) + Hyper Beam is also good, but with Charge Beam you can use two quicks beetween dodges, instead of only one with Hidden Power, and the EPS is also higher.

What would the damage difference be between charge beam and hidden power?

@Di: Sure about that? Source/link? I got HP Ice type x HB, and that little shit be cooking Dragonite.

@latios5: What I could tell you, is Pory2 is pretty good attacker! And that set will have you moving through water/flying types with ease. And, he does more damage w HB than Snorlax. ?

Hidden Power has more DPS if you don't dodge anything, but the EPS of Charge Beam will still be higher, which helps lowering the dps gap.

If you dodge, there's no doubt that Charge Beam is the best option, since you can get two Charge Beams beetween dodges and only one Hidden Power, leading to almost the same DPS and much more energy generated by Charge Beam.

Question: Do you battle exactly like that? Because the computer doesn't fight the same time, every time. Or is it that you hope the battle goes exactly like that? Bit too structured for me, shit happens.

I've been testing different CDs for quick attacks for some time now.

For two attacks beetween dodges, 1 second CD is the safe spot. I can get two attacks and dodge effectivelly 90% of the time.
1.10 CD is the sweet spot, where most of the best quicks are (like Dragonite's Dragon Tail) and that are still quite safe with 75%~80% of effective dodge using two attacks beetween dodges.
1.20 CD is the risk zone. Gengar's new Hex move goes on that zone for example. It can still dodge with two quick attacks, but the risk is high and will fail at least one time per battle.

Above that it becomes very inconsistent to use two quicks beetween dodges.

I put mines up in a gym as a trophy lol, but you'll want to evolve it eventually if the game lasts a few more gens.

Eh, it's decent. Porygon2 is not a top-notch battler by any means, though it's also not bad; that's a pretty good moveset for attacking...

Mine has the same moveset - still yet to try him out as I always have better options but might try him out soon.
