Porygon is indeed the easiest T3

The rewards were awesome, 9 gold berries, 6 rare candies, 1 FTM, 1 CTM out of 2 porygons that had solar beam. I kind of regret using the CTM on a Nidoking that got Sludge Wave, when i could have used it on my Ampharos to get an electric move. At least there's a T3 I can solo for now. Hopefully Scyther or Omastar is next.

Scyther is easy if you have some strong Golems. Stone Edge gets ahead of the clock really well. Tyranitar is good, great against Night Slash, but not so good against X-Scizzors. And if the Boss has Fury Cutter, that makes it really easy - Fury Cutter is a quick attack that does little damage. The Gym AI attacks once every two seconds, so the damage is tiny.

You did well to get 2 TMs from two level 3 raids.

Omastar is tougher. Try Machamp or Gengar (very manageable if you have a Lugia and a few Espeons.)

I don't have any SE golems, just one with EQ so he's not going to do much. But I've got a Kabutops, a Charizard, a Typhlosion, a Cloyster, a Jolteon, and a Dragonite with Hurricane. Will try them out whenever I find the bug.

Also, I doubt I can do Machamp with a team that doesn't use 2 of the same mons unless they're male & female or shiny. Last time I barely got him in red area, and I lack a good Psychic attacker since my Alakazam has Focus Blast. Freaking dumb idea to use the CTM on that Nidoking. I hope there will be an Abra nest nearby.

Congratulations! You can definitely do Scyther if you load up on double rock Golems. Omastar is a little tougher, but if you power up your big grass attackers (with double grass moves) you can get it done. Cloyster is a good challenge as well, and it feels like a t3, but unfortunately it only yields t2 rewards.

Yeah, I soloed Scyther in my first attempt. Used two Golems, Flareon and Charizard (both with FS/OH) and finished him off with Dragonite with about 30 sec left. All my Pokes were Lv30-33.

Golems are key, though. Those two took over half his life off.

Agreed, and I think Cloyster is the hardest T2. The auto-chooser selected mostly Tyranitars for me vs. Cloyster, but I think if I had stayed with them I would have run out of time. As it was it took 4 of my attackers to dispose of Cloyster.

I'll see what I could use vs Cloyster, didn't try it out yet. *more regrets of not using the CTM on my Focus Blast Amphy*
I'll probably rely on my Machamp, Jolteon, Alakazam, Kabutops and maybe I'll add Typhlosion and Ampharos at the end.

Ampharos with Focus Blast (especially with Volt Switch) is a fantastic defender, so when/if gym defense becomes important again (and I think it will), he will be more valuable with Focus Blast when with an electric charge move. Ampharos doesn't have the stats to match Raikou, Zapdos or even Jolteon, so even if he had Wild Charge he wouldn't be among the top electric attackers, but his bulk and typing make him a very solid defender with Focus Blast since it's SE against his only weakness, ground type Pokemon.

And for the love of God, never waste a precious charge TM on a Nido-anything!

Since I have no legendaries and I'll probably not get one unless I'm lucky enough to find a group that can actually organize, I'll be left with a jolteon and nothing much else in terms of electric attackers. I'm not holding my breath for gyms being revived anytime soon, my main goal is to just solo raids with varied teams.

The Nido was supposed to be a weaker ground backup for some raids, since I only have 2 rhydons and a golem that would be better used with SE in other cases.

Focus blast is SE against rock. While its true many ground types are also rock, FB would not hit a Donphan with super effective damage.

Porygon is easy however I always have more time in the clock against scyther. Only got one good golem over here. I pretty much use my Vaporeon team. It falls much faster than vape ever did.

Well, I failed to take down Porygon in 3 attempts.
Maybe my glass cannons were taken down too fast. Pinsir, Alakazam, Golem, Dragonite, Ursaring, Venusaur, Machamp (but mine has Bullet Punch). My Tyranitar in slot 6 did not get use before the time was up. I guess I need some more double fighting type attackers...

> "Its stats are simply too low to pose a risk of failure.
Even a team of the right level 20 attackers can solo a Porygon with time to spare. At level 30, pretty much any halfway decent attacker can partake in a Porygon solo with success."

Hahaha.
