Polywrath defender moveset

If you see a ~2300CP polywrath in a lv10 gym full of dragonite, lapras and snorlax, which pokemon would you assign to attack polywrath with?

Wondering if submission or ice punch would be more suitable for chage move

Executor has almost perfect matchup against Poli. Poli's attacks (water/gnd/fight) all are weak vs Exe..while Poli takes extra damage vs. Psychic and Grass. Only issue is if it it has Ice Beam, but more rare either way an Exe with Psychic movesets should be a cakewalk.

Exeggutor crushes Poliwrath, and it's very popular... so that's why I don't see many Poliwraths defending gyms in my city.

Ice Punch can provide some coverage, but honestly, it doesn't matter (I did the math some weeks ago, it's like 2 DPS difference from Ice Punch and Submission against Exeggutor). Poliwrath is rated as Tier 1,5 defender just because of Bubble.

Submission also has better CD(3.5 vs 2.1) than ice punch, which is important when paired with slow bubble

Charge move doesn't matter if you know how to dodge and Bubble is very easy to dodge you even have time to use 2 confusion.

I have a Poli with Bubble and Ice Punch and is a very good defender, even with the presence of Exeggutor, his weaknesses to exeggcutor is not double, they are all x1.25 not x1.56, so he can stand still most of the time. Though hydropump is a lot better because of STAB than Ice Punch.
