Poliwrath opinion

I did an 82iv Poliwrath with the same moves from 1537cp to 2112. I had the dust and candy and didn't really have anything better to power at the moment. I'm happy with him.

I am thinking about to power up one too. Mine is 93.3%IV and 1563cp with the same moveset. I will not power for now cuz we only have 2 gyms, i dont need more defenders since i already have a Lapras, Snorlax and Dragonite all level 31.5 to do the defensive job. But in the future, when they add more gyms of course i will power it up.

In my opinion, yes. Some people don't recommend to power up Pokémon that can't reach very high CP as they will be placed lower on a gym, but I don't think that matters much, at least around here where I live in. Most gyms are level 3-5 and when they get attacked, they get taken down, no matter if your Pokémon is the first or the last. But then again most other players here are lower level than I am and have lower level Pokémon so I'm often on top of the gym even with 2,1k Poliwrath :)

I have one with same IV and same moves. And I stopped powering him up 2 levels before. He is 1900 cp and a great defender with that annoying moves. I have 150 poliwag candies and waiting for one with better IVs. If I don't get the same moves again, I'll go with the older one anyways. =)

I definitely would. I'm very happy with my Poliwrath and he has Submission instead of Ice Punch. Ice Punch makes it really good vs the grass pokemon people are likely to throw against it.

I turned level 30 tonight and the first thing I did was further max out my Poliwrath with Bubble/Ice - mine's 82% ish so not far off yours. Yes high level grasses will eventually break him down but he holds them back and doesn't make life easy.

I have a mini poliwrath army, the first I evolved before I really understood iv and I haven't powered him up at all...but the other 4 are all 93% IV with bubble, 3 are fully powered up to lvl 30 (CP 2100+) and the other whose been the second to bottom in a gym for about six weeks at lvl 25.

I really enjoy my poliwrath defenders. The three high one usually will sit in a gym for 3-4 days at a time. I also have 300 poliwag candy and my main dog walk area turned out to be a nest before I understood what a nest was...it's also I psyduck nest...
