Poliwrath - Bubble/Dynamic Punch.

So I finally got Poliwrath with Bubble/Dynamic Punch. Is he worth powering up? I guess the better question is..,is he a good Snorlax/Blissey attacker? Thanks.

My B/DP is evolved at 2k, so I'm currently using him in battle as is. I'm having fun so far and am liking this mon.
I'm not going to power anything up until after the gym rebalance.

If you have extra dust? Sure why not. He won't be great vs Blissey but should take down any Snorlax.

For Snorlax/Blissey, RS/DP will be better and IMO, Poliwrath should be powered up to approx. 1500 CP for gym prestriger due to its CP is not higer enough to use as gym attacker, you can find some better mons else as attackers.

My 1800 CP Poliwrath with RS/HP (a worse moveset) took down a 3200 CP Snorlax last weekend. Your Poliwrath would do well against Snorlax and Tyranitar, but not Blissey (according to The Best Ways to Beat Down Blissey) or Lapras (only RS/DP would do a good job).

That is true against Blissey, but only if you are comparing mons of the same level. A 1800 Poliwrath will do better than almost any other 1800 mon against Blissey and Tyranitur. It just takes more candy and dust to get there, but Poliwag candies are much easier to come by than Machop candies.

Against Blissey, any 1800 CP attacker, even Machamp with Count/DP, would not be good enough.

Much as I wish Poliwrath (with RS/DP) could be powered up into a Blissey killer (Heracross is not available for most players), the facts from the Best Ways to Beat Down Blissey article state otherwise.

Since it has high hp, it might be good against Snorlax with zen headbutt and body slam. You won't be afraid of losing dodges.
