Poliwrath against Tyranitar, Snorlax or Blissey
Of course, Machamp is the optimal attacker/prestiger and I am farming Machops, but this takes a long time (with risk of bad moveset) and one or two Machamps would not be enough. Hence I need a backup option and with Heracross being a regional, I was wondering how Poliwrath (RS/DP or RS/HP) would fare against Tyranitar, Snorlax or Blissey. My current generalist attackers are WG/HP Vaporeon and Conf/Solar Exeggutor; still seeking a DT/OR Dragonite. For comparison purposes, assume Poliwrath and all generalist attackers have the same CP (and IVs). I already have counters for Dragonite, Gyarados, Rhydon, Vaporeon, Espeon and Exeggutor.

The key is mostly Dynamic Punch
I messed around on Pokebattler just to see if the Rock Smash with +1 SE (2 vs Tyrantir or 1 vs blissey) made a difference.
And in the couple random ones I tried, Rocksmash finished off by under 1 second quicker, and with same hps.
Bubble is just so much more energy generation for dynamic punch that it roughly evens out the higher dps SE Rock Smash
I've got a double fighting one powered up to 2261, plus two more around 1400. As more people get Tyraniturs, Poliwrath will become much more relevant as a prestiger. He resists all of T's attacks and hits him with double effective stab fighting moves.
My 2261 Poli can also take down a 2800 Blissey, making it one of the better prestiging options against Blissey.
Messed around some more with a Level 30 Poliwrath vs a Level 30 Blissey (Pound/Hyper)
Dodging Specials Only
Bubble/HydroPump -- Failed Time Out
Bubble/Dynamic Punch - Won with 1 HP in 66.3
Rock/Dynamic -- Won with 1 HP in 65.7
Bubble/Submission -- Lost -3 HPs could've won in 81.9 if you dodged a few pounds.
Long story short, don't worry about Quick Move on him. Double Fighting sounds great and the extra SE sounds great. But Bubble is so so much energy that it really won't matter.
