Pokémon Type Chart - Need to Study More

More of a comment then a question...

For some unknown reason, I had always thought when a type is SE against another type, then the reverse would be NVE... I am soooo wrong. While it's true for some, it's not true for most.

Normal type attack is NVE against Rock type but Rock type attack is just normal against Normal.

I'm such a newb...

I do not thought so since I first looked and understood GP type chart, but I'm with you that I cannot tell type advantages by hart outside of big 7 and their main counters :).
But I know normal and psychic are neutral to most types, steel resist most, so when in doubt at prestiging just random pick from raticates, furrets, mr. mime, scarmory and magneton :).

I think he's referring to the fact that a resist and super effective do not always go together. For instance ghost and normal are not effective against each other, dragon and dragon are super effective against each other, fighting is SE to normal but fighting does not resist normal etc.

I don't know all of this off by heart by myself either. And the immunities from the other games confuses this 'type chart' even further..

I got that, about that aspect I said I know is not true since I first look at type effectiveness chart an understood it after probably quite some time starring at it :).

Ghost hits Ghost for super effective damage, and the defender hits super effective damage back.
