Is there any explanation on how and why you rate the Pokémon as you do?
If there isnt any i would recommend to add one. It would be pretty interesting and informative

I have the same question. More specifically, why Wigglytuff, Poliwrath and Slowbro are rated 9.5, while most the web site put Arcanine, Blastoise and Venusaur ahead of them. Especially why Blastoise is rated so low, only 8.5?

The ratings seem to be in correlation to the "Gym Defenders Tier List", which has ample explanation. There's more to it than simply stats, since the presence of certain pokemon (such as the dime-a-dozen maxed vaporeon) make relatively weak the pokemon which seem strong from from a purely stats point of view (such as archanine).
