Pokemon merge (breeding?) option?
Here's an idea...
Niantic implement a pokemon merge (some people have pointed out breeding) system which could work a little bit like this...
Ability to merge 2 of the same pokemon together to create 1 "better" pokemon.
The higher CP Pokemon's moveset replaces lower CP moveset, the lower CP polemon retains its IV's and all other data, so basically gives the user base a better chance of getting a Pokemon with good moves and higher IVs
This would resolve some of the bad moveset complains many people have and also help with the storage issue.
Thoughts anyone?

Not necessarily. This would be more helpful to the more serious, dedicated, higher level player in the way that I am suggesting.
For your new / lower level / casual player this may not matter so much because chances are you haven't got any real competitive pokemon so it may be less appealing to this player base.
However for those players who have slogged countless hours of walking and travelling, catching and hatching, (who are now discouraged and playing more casually because let's face it, the game can be very unrewarding at times) back into the game.
The rules that I am suggesting would still make it challenging to get that better poke as you couldnt just use any poke, if you want that a moveset on your higher IV poke, you gotta get it up to the same CP or higher than the desired poke.
Anyways, we'll see what they do with breeding and hope they don't over complicate or randomise it.
Nope... this is Pokemon, there no such thing merge like other RPG or MMORPG game. No worry there something what we call "breeding" in Pokemon universe. what good about breeding give the child father and mother IV stat... will pokemon Company approve niantic implant this 18sx thing? Who know... but I Hope so...
sounds...very helpfull, in terms of the game and getting what you want.
But almost too easy to get strong pokemon,
and also just kinda...unrealistic ?
not sure how to explain..but basically I cant see something like this being in this, or any other pokemon game.
Atleast Breeding which already shares a similar idea, has some base in reality and realism, as it makes sense that if two pokemon 'make' a baby, it shares their traits etc.
Are you seriously talking about realism here? You do know pokemon aren't real....right?
We can't talk about loyalty to the original game either.
Although I was never a Pokemon fan prior to pokemon go... the augumeted reality and the need to walk to play is what grabbed me, and even in my pokemon noob ignorance, I have gathered that Niantic have not stuck to the original game here, so I think they can push the boundaries a bit where needed to make the game better.
I personally would like to see something like this, and more....as at nearly level 35 now the game is getting a bit teidious.
