Is pokemon go getting two easy

Luckiest day ever yesterday. Two lvl 4 gym right next to each other both Tyranitar caught them both and less than two hours later got another one.

Took me months to hatch a larvitar, walk it to get a 125 candies evolve it Tyranitar B / FB 84.4 IV

Now i caught 3 in one day, with a better move set and IV. Does not feel right or is it just me

And on the flip side there are those (like me, see post right before yours) who have extremely bad luck, which results in small RNG differences causing huge disparities between player rewards. It's way too much about luck/RNG (or increasing your luck by spending $$ on raid passes) these days. I think the player base wants something a little more strategic than a slot machine.

before it also was RNG or increasing your luck by spending $$ but for incubators. But in lesser extend of course.

Hatching eggs gets you larvitars. Raids get you Tyranitars. Very different rewards.

In your area maybe it is often easy, but you need to take advantage of some of that ease to keep up with the players in your area. Do it. Your fortune thousands of miles away has no bearing on my more marginal fortune, a tier 3 raid with some candy and an occasional TM. A different place and in many ways a different game.

casuals get pokemons easily but they never get the dust xD

True. Many players will have lots of good mons, but at lvl 20 without dust to do anything. It's still an interesting game.

That is how they wrap up the fact this game is pay to win.

I have some hope that the gym system might get an overhaul eventually (hopefully sooner than later), and PvP might become a reality, so my goal is to accumulate enough strong pokemons from raids for future gym and PvP uses.

How many overhauls do you need, seriously? Should they overhaul once a week?

There won't be an overhaul...they just did that...

Yes. And in my opinion the new system is much fairer, better and more interesting. Now you have a lot of new challenges -for instance, gym badges.

How many games have an endpoint anymore though... This isn't Mario. I think of this as more of a Call of Duty multiplayer, or a World of Warcraft. You just keep going to go, get stronger as you level. More features available as you level. And eventually an increase in level cap. All they have to do is initiate a leaderboard and people would most likely be satisfied. have leaders in egg hatches, Time in gym defended, and Raids defeated. possibly even how much damage in raid battles. Leaderboards for everything, but the "win" or "endgame" this isn't the first game with no clear "win" at the end.

I guess I don't really play enough games to know...The only other game I have really played in the last 10 years is Pokemon Sun and Moon. In those games you have a storyline, that has a couple of layers, then you have the battle tree, which gets progressively harder, then finally you have PVP, which is extremely tough.

Obviously I am not asking for that much, but before the update I at least felt like I was working towards something. I was powering up defenders, and as a solo player, I was powering up attackers. I was trying to gain gyms, I was trying to get higher cp pokemon. I feel like all of that is gone. The closest thing to a "goal" is soloing a level 3 raid, and I can do that (minus Flareon and Jolteon.) I don't need to improve my team, because I can't do any better without help.

It certainly would help if I could see more stats. Specifically, I would like to see the battles won on the pokemon screen, not just right before the battle.

I guess I just feel like I have everything I need. There is nothing to work towards...so I have no reason to pay to "win." I have spent my last dime on this game unless they give me a reason to do so. If they think I am going to pay to get the gold medal for raids, they are mistaken...

Depends on the area. IMO it just creates a greater disparity between city and rural players.

I know nothing about Ingress, but I know their game often dictates where pokestops and gyms are located. Maybe all Pogo'ers are really just in a snoglobe sitting on their endtable...

Caught 13 ttars already, seriously considering using pineap for the first 3 or 4 balls next time, because now I don't have enough candies to power up them. Immediate goal is to have 3 b/c and 3 b/se ttars of level 30.

Whereas, my immediate goal is to somehow get just ONE charge TM to change my only Tyranitar (I've seen exactly 3 Larvitars -- two hatched, and one was while on vacation during Adventure week) from FB to anything else. I've had to bypass several Tyranitar raids because there's no one out here to help me.

Right, my first charge TM went to my only ttar that was not caught from raids. Level 4 raids are where TM's are awarded. If level 4 raids are not possible,I suggest having a 2nd account to battle tier 3 as soloing tier 3 is very much a challenge even for high level players. Tier 3 should give you 1 TM every two raids on average if the online poll I read sometime ago is correct

Meh, I don't really have a desire to go against TOS (i.e. cheat) by having a second account. Besides, even if I did take a foray to the dark side (or maybe gray side since I'm not sure if that's as onerous as spoofing/botting), I'm quite sure that any awarded TMs would go to that second account and not the one where I need them.

Thing being, if you are just below being able to solo some tier 3 raids, there is nothing else happening right now that will allow you to significantly advance to that goal. Plenty of buzzsaws, Flareon and Jolteon, but no stardust and no potions to help you mend from the slaughter.

My only goal now is to catch Tyranitar. Kept failing to catch him even with 11 straight golden berries and Great Throw...

Game was easy for start with, the main purpose of the game is go out and play involved with your environment and surroundings and RNG jesus...but yeah they have been making it too easy lately to get all pokemons, and in chicago go fest youll have heracross spawns and perhaps mr.mimes and other regionals, so yeah lets give everybody 100% dex entry why not

It is not easy to catch Tyranitar for me. It is about 6 Tyranitar raid bosses until now and just got one.
