Pokemon Go App/Android Tech Questions

I occasionally go into my Apps list to clear the cache for the Pokemon Go App. A couple of questions:

On the Storage Screen, it shows App 199MB and Data 204MB. There is a Clear Data icon. What is in the "Data" and should it be cleared from time to time?

Also, the app is currently set for "Internal storage." There is an option to move it to the SD Card. Is there a reason to move the app from internal storage to the SD Card?

Data is basically the settings for the game, but may hold assets like art as well. Clearing it essentially resets the game back to factory settings, and you'd have to do log back in again etc.

The only real reason for moving to the SD card is if you're short of space on the actual phone.
