Pokeballs for catching psyquic mons?

On the gameboy first pokemon game the psyquic pokemons like mewtwo were much easier to catch if a pokeball was used instead of ultraballs or masterballs.
I tried to use pokeballs pn psyquic mons but i havent got any conclusion.
Did anyone tried that?

Are psy pokemon really easier to catch with pokeballs? I remeber one of the times i caught mewtwo was with a pokeball but that was after blowing all my ultra and great ones. I always thought i was just extremely lucky with that pokeball...

I believe this has been tested or mined and catch rates are known. There's no difference for type. Mew isn't out yet though so that's untestable.

Got any proof for psychics being easier with regular pokeballs or is this just a placebo like spamming A + B.

Yeah if you only use pokeballs on psychic types then you'll eventually catch some on your first try with a regular ball but that doesn't prove they're any better.

That would be akin to reloading saves and only throwing premier balls until you get a first throw catch and saying "well it worked that one time" so it must be true.

It is totally true! I read it on the internets. And if you go back to the SSAnne and surf to the right you can use strength on the truck to find a pokeball with Mew in it!
