Is poison about to become relevant somehow?

So, off the top of my head, the best poison attackers in the game, in some order, would be Gengar, Muk, Nidos, and Victreebel. They just added 3 of those to the boss rotation. Am I reading too much into this? Poison could be decent against Celebi. Other than that, could we be getting some fairy or grass-type bosses in the future? I'm probably reaching, but what do you guys think?

Edit: Tentacruel fits this poison conspiracy as well!

As much as I hope poison to be an effective typing, without the possibility to poison enemies it's not that great.
Celebi it's grass psychic and right now it gets a double psychic moveset that would destroy poison attackers.
They most likely put those new bosses as they can be difficult to find in some areas and are not too OP, so basically, as a novelty.

gardevoir in Gen 3 might become a target

It has psychic as a secondary typing, poison would do neutral damage and suffer from supereffective stab psychic moves (also metagross conunters gardevoir almost perfectly)

I agree. I think some poison moves will be legacy and some buffed to change the meta. I am thinking steel moves too may be affected, legacy or otherwise. Ice types too.

I think part of the reason is because Niantic looked at what people DON'T have in their dex from Gen1/Gen2, after the recent event that gave bonus XP for adding a dex entry, and realised that these are missing from many peoples dex.

The reason for this is because we have had an event for nearly all types of pokemon, and so most will have dex for these - but Poison and Steel did not feature in any of these 'type' events we had.

Putting this all together - the 'type' events gave people most dex entries, and the *bonus xp for new dex entry* event confirmed that these are what many players are missing.

...so these got added to the rotation for the more casual players to be tempted to raid, and complete their dex.

This is not about the hardcore player, this is about the rest.
