they did say thanks. and it certainly didn't sound hysterical.

I Imagine best counters would be:
Ttar SD/SE
Golem RT/SE
Plus they're easier to take down than they used to be so I wouldn't worry, Articuno was easy AF :')

I actually don't see my Golems (RB or SE Ho-Oh counters) on the top of my list at all. SD/SE Ttars followed by strong generalists (Rays, Dragonite, even Gengar).

The rock Golems will last longer, obviously. However, 180 secs means no 2nd team needed anyway

I'm a big believer in depth and second teams..however that also means I'm a big believer in a glassy front line for early damage and beating that clock!

No need for a glassy frontline here. Tyranitar was always one of the tankiest attackers in the game and now it's also packing unparalleled DPS against the raid boss. I doubt you'll go for a rejoin often with a team of 6 SD Tyranitars.

I don't know about anyone else but I didn't even need more than two SD Tyranitars against Articuno. I was part of a raid group that fluctuated between 13-16 people all day and never lost more than one Pokemon per fight. At most my second would faint right as the raid boss did. Some fights I didn't lose a single Tyranitar!

I was in groups between 6 and 12. In the smaller ones I'd sometimes go down to the last Tyranitar but never had to rejoin.

This depends on your style of raiding ofcourse. I'm a big fan of maximazing the rewards for your raidpass, so I went in with groups of 3-6 (all my colour on gyms of my colour). I used about 3-4 tyranitars per fight. I also did a duo against blizzard, I went through 4 ttars and 1 golem, and was on my last pokemon (another golem) when the articuno fainted (15 seconds left).

Use the DPS/TDO Ranking dude cmon.

SD/SE Tyranitar is by far the best.
RT/SE Golem has the best TDO and its DPS is still good.
DT/OR Ray and C/SB Mewtwo have better DPS than Golem but low TDO compared to both Tyranitar and Golem.
Jynx is a high-DPS glass cannon and Salamence and Dnite are ok generalist options but below Golem in DPS.
