Please Knock Down My Gym!

One of my strongest mon has been stuck at the top of a level 10 gym for three months now. I was hoping that it would get knocked down when they made the gym point change. Didn't even make a dent. Now that they changed it back to the same prestige points I'm concerned that my guy will be stuck there forever. It's a difficult gym to access. Anyone know if there are any rumors on a time expiration to kick out all mons in a stagnant gym by Niantic?

What's wrong with 500 stardust a day guaranteed?

I know that it's kind of a good thing. First two months I was very happy but now it's getting ridiculous. The gym hasn't changed mons in months. That's the most concerning thing about it. I wouldn't mind this at all if I had a pigeot stuck there forever but it's my best Dragonite in there. I want him back so I can power him up. I went through hoops to get into that gym. It's in a closed down warehouse and the only way to get into the gym circle is leaning against at only one spot on the outside wall. And it errors out half the time. It took me almost two hours to prestige it to level 10 erroring out driving away coming back and continuing. I knew this gym would stand for a while but now I'm thinking how long??

So let me get this straight...you went through hoops to put him there. Now you want him back so you can waste stardust on him just to put him back there again?

It's a 100 IV Dragonite SW/DP and it would not be a waste to power it up. If I do get it back not sure if I would put it in the same gym - too much pain in the ass and probably wouldn't want to go through that again.

what would be the purpose of powering it up? so it could hold a spot in a gym better? it's already doing that perfectly.

I want to power it up for personal satisfaction. Not for anything else. Also I want to place it in a gym close to where I live. This gym is far and can't view it. I like looking at gyms I'm in especially if I'm on top. It's a mental thing. It's like having a Ferrari but kept in a far away garage and can't look at it. Haha.

I thought about making a post like this to see if a spoofer would help me out awhile back. Had an attacker stuck in a gym for a long time. Stuck him in a busy shopping area thinking it wouldn't stay, I was so wrong.

Haha. I may need assistance from a spoofer. How do I find them? Can't ask them here because they would be incriminating themselves and fear reporting.

A few openly cheat and seem more friendly that most on here.

Nice problem to have, although it is a little surprising there isn't an expiration time of 10 or 20 or 30 days or anything to counter gym stagnation. There area where I am is quite active so there isn't this problem.

There should be a three month expiration if the gym is stagnant by the same mons. Of course if the gym is actively defended by prestigers with constant rotation of mons for over three months it shouldn't expire. But total stagnation of any activity should trigger an automatic expiration time.

Nope, no expiration time.Just be thankful for the 45k-50k stardust and 1k coins he's already given you and for the resources he'll keep giving you.

I have 8x Dragonites over 3k including 2x over 3200 with Steel/Pulse. None of them have lasted in a gym more than 2-3 days, ever. Most last 2-3 hours. Just consider yourself lucky!

Jeezus Christmas. 8 dragonites?! Are you a spoofer? Would love to hire you to go knock down my gym! Haha

Man I just wished I didn't put my Dragonite in there and put something else in to collect the same rewards. Which there was a scale of some sort so higher placed mons get more than the bottom ones.

I have 4 Dragonites myself and I don't exactly live near a Dratini nest or anything. For someone who has easy access to Dratini I'm sure they can have a lot more than 8. Go to Reddit and post the address or coordinates and tell them it very rarely gets attacked, I'm sure someone will do you a favor.

Give me the location of the gym and I will go take care of it.

Jokes aside, I went through the same thing. Left my Dragonite at a level 10 gym located inside a train station and it stayed there for 3 weeks. I leveled up twice within this time period so I desperately wanted my Dragonite back so I could keep it up-to-date. Fortunately, after they buffed gym attacking, my baby came back to me. I guess the only thing you could do is wait patiently or advertise the location so enemy teams flock there.

Maybe Ill advertise it on Craigslist. Haha.

i doubt anyone would dare to help and risk themselves getting reported.. haha!

Agree. I don't have any friends on other teams. If I did they would probably help me out.

Have you ever considered playing Ingress? Sounds like you have a great portal candidate to get your onyx guardian badge.

Save some Dragonite candies and dust so that the day your mon gets kicked out you can power it up, but in the meantime if I were you I'd sit back and enjoy the guaranteed 10 gold per day.

Never played Ingress and probably don't have time to play two games as most of my free time is spent playing Pogo. I do have plenty of dust and candies to power up the Dragonite. Just itching to get it back

If you ever get bored with PoGo, try out Ingress. It's a much more finished game, with a pretty great user community. :-)

And yeah, I can sympathize with wanting to get your Dragonite back. I've felt similarly about some of my best Vaporeons in the past (back when level 10 gyms stood for weeks).

Would be nice to have "kick out" button.
So you could kick your pokemon out of gym and then you would have to wait 24 hours to put it on any gym.

Lol, in ur case its not that bad... I accidentally put my 100% DB/DC dragonite level 38.5 in the gym and it was stuck there for 2 weeks... the level 10 gyms were all dragonites over 3k cp... i had to find a couple of pokemon friends and pay them $20 each to take the gym down and get back my dragonite, took them 2 hours all togther lol... thats before they increased the gym atking prestige though :p

If it were a DB/DC dragonite i could understand because he's a valuable attacker, but you have a defensive dragonite. His job is to be in a gym. After you power him up you will just want to put him in a gym again anyways. Just wait till he comes back and collect your rewards
