Players using Blissey in raids
Today, I had one of my worst experiences ever in a Snorlax raid in a residential area.
There were 3 players including me, and 2 spoofers. 1 of the other 2 players was using Blissey and Snorlax.
I politely told her not to use Blissey and Snorlax. Guess what she replied? 'Blissey has high HP'. Seriously?
Then I told her that the main problem in raids is time, not Pokemon longevity, and that she should use high DPS Pokemon. She refused, and just used the auto-selected team.
I just ignored her and selected my DPS team. There were 5 people. I was the only one in my team, the other 2 teams had 2 players each. The battle was going well, we reached the halfway mark at 93 seconds. But, at the end, the Snorlax had just a little HP left, probably just 2%.
I went for another battle, but this time the 2 spoofers left. This time, we couldn't even reach the halfway mark before time out. In the end, the raid timer ended, and I wasted a raid pass.
The Snorlax had Lick/Hyperbeam.
This was my team for the raid:
Machamp CP 2332 C/DP
Dragonite CP 3050 DB/H
Dragonite CP 2926 DB/DC
Dragonite CP 2798 DT/OR
Flareon CP 2298 FS/O
Exeggutor CP 2623 C/SoB

Yes, unfortunatelly there are these types of people who needs to be "punched in the face" first and right after they will accept your advice. What I do, when I see a Blissey in a raid group is that I will start talking on loud about how useless the Blissey (and the player) is. Usually they will ask why, so I reply to them that a raid battle is not a survival game, and what DPS means...
I had a level 34 player battling a Machamp with me (we are both mystic), we had battled one together a week before and beat it easy.
Well, he started with a Blissey the second time, I did all the damage with Dr/Esp/Ala, then finally he put a Dragonite in. I couldn't ask him about it b/c he is deaf, but I'm assuming he doesn't have any potions, maybe that dragonite was only starting at halfstrength. He likely realized I could beat it by myself. Some players are playing a lot (raiding) almost all without walking 5 to 6 miles a day in a cluster of stops collecting potions.
You guys would be complaining a lot less about other people if you just minded your own business and took some initiative to spoof for 1 day to acquire 6 level 30 Co/DO Machamps. Who cares if someone else wants to use Blissey? Get some friends if you're really having trouble taking a raid boss down.
Try to check the opening stats, if they are level 25: 75kms walked, and 75 battles won-- don't expect help. Maybe start with some glass cannons that are many times expendable (and potion efficient) then decide if you even want to fully participate in a complete lost cause. You might want to bail and wait for another attempt: save your superstar TT, Dragonite, Machamps, etc.
This game used to be harsh with 10 Blissey towers, don't be shy about making it harsh again to whomever is in your doomed raid party
Tell those people that if they want to use a Blissey, to put it in the last slot. And maybe tell them a Blissey is like hooking a trailer onto your car: if you attach it to the back, it will add some weight and slow you down a little, but if you somehow attach it to the front of the car, you're just gonna smash into it and cause yourself a lot of pain.
I used Blissey too in in raid 4 bosses if there are more than 10 people joining. The reason for it is that my phone lags too much to successfully dodge any charged attacks. I tried using my 3 DP level 30 Machamps but all fainted far too quickly to deal max damage. By using Blissey, with every charged attacks by the boss, I deal out my own charged attack, thus higher DPS than using my Machamps.
But if the raid has less than 10 people, then I will use all my top dps attackers to deal max damage before the timer runs out.
So it all depends on the situation and how many people are in the raid battle.
