PKMN storage upgrade discount

Do you think there will be a PKMN storage upgrade discount when gen 3 is released?Correct me if I'm wrong, when gen 2 was released there was a 50% discount.

I expanded mine to 500 at that time.
I have just further expanded it to 700 due to the raid update Ive been hoarding all these raids captures and also lots of legends.

Since we can smell gen 3 around the corner, should I wait?
I actually have storage problem for all the games that I play be it runescape or skyrim but PoGo requires $$$ to solve this problem

No I don't think 3 will offer discount storage.

There was no discount when gen 2 was released. Why gen 3？

What? There was 50% discount for one or two weeks after gen 2 release.
I save coins to buy some discounted storage space. But if there will be no discount I still have many prestigers and bubblers ready to be transferred.

False. There was pokemon storage discount after gen 2 release.
Will it be the same for gen 3? I hope so. I will be saving my free coins

As Croc and JerryPy already wrote, no discount on storage.
My answer is based on Niantics behaiviour when they released Gen 2 and also on their recent behaviour when they introduced raids and the legendaries. No discount on additional bag space when they introduced raids and with all the new items optainable through raids (TMs, rare candy) a lot of people speculated that nianitc may offer discount on bag storage. But no they didn't. Same with the birds and lugia.
So, it is highly unlikely that they'll offer a discount on pokémon storage.

I guess my memory was right there was a discount after gen 2, I really hope gen 3 follows the same pattern

No. It needs patience. It needs 4 days at 50ct to buy one upgrade. After this upgrade, it needs 4 days at 50ct to buy another update......

You should make sure you can earn your 50ct every day. You should make sure not to spend to anything else [including raidpasses]. I know, patience is hard to learn.
I have maxed pokespace and maxed itemspace. I earned the pokecoins at gyms.
