Pidgey Spam

If you don't exit the pokemon list screen before the 30 minutes are up, do you still get the 2x bonus? From the screens, it looks like you get all your XP when you leave that screen.

In previous pidgey spam attempts, I was always careful to exit with a minute or so remaining to make sure I got the XP. Do I need to do that?

About to do pidgey spam with my last lucky egg. I have 77 Pokemon to evolve (with some slowdown because a few will be new evolutions added to pokedex).

Sorry - my bad phrasing of the original question.

I don't think you will get double exp after the 30 minutes are over even if you haven't closed your pokemonlist in that time.

You do NOT need to exit before the 30 minutes ends. If you keep evolving after 30 minutes has ended, then you will not get double XP for those evolutions. If you press the "evolve" button within the 30 minutes, but the animation does not finish within the time, you do get double XP for that evolution.

Awesome. I am willing to give up a few pidgey evolutions at non-2x to make sure I use every second of that last lucky egg.

My game has crashed in the middle of an evolution 29 mins in and the game reloaded with 2 seconds left on the lucky egg. I didn't seem to be missing any XP. I unfortunately don't know the answer to your specific question though.
