Pichu without Ash hat ??

So i hatched a Pichu after a lot of grinding today and I got the egg yesterday (during the event) but it popped out without the hat.. Any idea why?

I got the legendaries.. i was on the lookout for this pichu and when i finally got it, it came without the hat

I hatched one today with a hat. Coolest part is that I picked up the egg in Narita airport, Japan.
