Perfect Charizard - legacy moves - what to do?

I have a Perfect Charizard that's been sitting forever that I've levelled up to 26 over time (due primarily to boredom) - Wing Attack / Dragon Claw

I have a Charge TM - should I try to gain a new charge move?

Or, should I change both the Quick and/or only the Charge?

I read something about Dragon Claw being useful for Mega Charizard- if/when it happens - better to stay as is?

Thanks!

you want FS/OH for a the lizard. That is best moveset, even the legacy moves don't compare

If you love Charizard, and have the resources, it would be safe to power it since it's perfect. In terms of its moves, I recommend not using any TMs on it for now because I believe there are better things to use TMs on. Regardless of moveset, it's going down being placed in a gym. If you're looking into the very far future i.e. Mega Charizard, ya DC will be interesting for Mega Charizard X (for those who don't play the vgc, he has 2 megas, X/Y).

Edit: Yes currently the preferred moves FS/OH

Someone told me only one TM(regardless it's fast or charged TM) can be used once on a Pokemon. This means you cannot fix both fast and charge move. Can someone confirm or refute ?

mega evolutions were introduced in gen 6 and we only got gen 2 a little over half a year after the initial release. if the game stays on track then you're looking at around 2 years until gen 6. who knows if you're still playing by then.

I wouldn't change wing attack with it being legacy and it's actually a good move. doesn't do as much damage as air slash or fire spin but it's more dodge-friendly and has higher energy gain which offsets that damage.

if you only wanted to change the quick move so you have a DC charizard you could just evolve another charizard without removing a legacy moveset pokemon from the game.

plus mega charizard X has fire/dragon typing so you probably wouldn't want wing attack with dragon claw since it wouldn't have STAB, you'd want FS/DC a moveset you can currently get anyway.

personally I'd keep the charge TM for something higher tier than a charizard but if you're buying premium raid passes so TM rarity won't be an issue, and you want this charizard as your main fire attacker you could use a charge TM on it.

Thanks for the note

I'm a free to play player - surprised I've been playing for so long, hah

Yeah, who knows if I'll be still playing after X years!

Go for it. I have a Perfect IV Charizard with Air Slash and Fire Blast. Used two charged TMs going for Overheat. Got Dragon Claw first then back to Fire Blast. Gonna keep TM'ing it til I get Overheat.
