Park Event?

A few hours ago I got one of the pogo alerts that niantic send to us to let us know about events hours after it starts. The specific text I got said something about keeping an eye to the parks nearby because different pokemon could spawn there. I didn't take a sceenshot because I thought that by the time I got home gamepress would already have a page about the event, but there is nothing. I talked about it with my only friend that still play and he said he got the message to. Anyone else got that or I am going crazy?
(I live in Brazil, so there would never be a exclusive event here)
