Palkia worths power up?

I got a palkia of good enough iv. Does it worth power up now?

I don't have enough good counters for it. And if it is also good for future raids, I'd power up now rather than later.

If it's got DracoMeter then yes it's a good counter to itself. For future you can always TM the charge move. It's unlikely to be first choice for most future raids, but it will still be a useful addition against future bosses, particularly with TMs.

For me it is, but mostly because it's something different from the usual Dragonite and Rayquaza. However, I will only use my current stardust/rare candy reserves directly if I get a 98 or 100.

Palkia is a bulky counter to itself if the raid boss doesn't have Draco Meteor and 100% worth it if your dragon team is lacking.

Unless you get a boosted perfect Palkia, your main reason to wait is that you are likely to catch better Palkias over the month and your Rare Candy should be spent on your best Palkia.

Actually raids aside it has dragon breath, which means that it is exceptional in pvp, even with draco meteor because dragonbreath can kill pokemon by itself. It also doesn't have many weaknesses and walls metagross well (It also covers your Metagross too.) Combined with a hydro pump sub it becomes even more lethal.

So yeah, you can consider one.

It's pretty mediocre in pvp when there are better Dragon options to choose from (Giratina, Latios, legacy Dragonite). It also loses to Metagross despite the Steel resistance because Metagross gets off Earthquakes faster than it gets any of its charge moves off, as long as each side has at least one shield left.

Palkia's best use is as a raid attacker where being outclassed means less, and it's pretty close to being a top performer anyways.

If you dont have enough good counters for it, go ahead and power up. Its one of the better dragon types, so it will come in handy against future dragon type bosses

As it's a top three counter for itself, I would invest moderately into it. Plus with rainy weather common in many places, a weatherboosted one or six isn't bad either.

I'd say its worth it, palkia's bulker than rayquaza, and also has a much better type combination, double resisting hydro pump and fire blasts while rayquaza resists it on times, this actually makes palkia the superior counter in a few match ups while rayquaza its superior in the others, so it and rayquaza are the two best in all cases uness you're facing draco meteor

It'd say its worth powering up if you have a good IV catch right now, but I wouldn't put a lot of rarecandy into it, mostly the candy from catches right now.

This is the damage a DM Palkia did to my squad this morning, I did a trio and not a fully organized one (picked my 3rd team before my 2nd team, then exited after a few to get 2nd)...to realize its full dragon damage in 280 sec add a 3500 Latios with half strength and a perfect maxed Gardevoir now at half-health. Ideally you need a lot of dragons***I have 550 max revives

I plan to, but there's still an entire month to raid it. I'm waiting until the end of its run to evaluate what my best ones are.

I gained 170 candy via Giratina raid catches...never put anything into any of them, including some boosted catches. Well, two days ago got a 1923 lucky 15a/13/15. Trade them and fish for luckies at the very least.
