To try to break this down a little:
- If an account has received less than 10 lucky Pokemon, that account is guaranteed to trigger lucky rolls if a Pokemon from July/August of 2016 is traded.
- The July/August 2016 Pokemon must come from the account with less than 10 luckies. If the July/August 2016 Pokemon comes from an account with 10 or more luckies the guarantee is no longer valid.
- It does not matter if the account receiving the July/August 2016 Pokemon has 10 or more luckies already. The trade will still go lucky since the account sending the July/August 2016 Pokemon has less than 10 luckies.
In your case, despite the Pokemon being from 2016 since they are not from July/August 2016 there is no guarantee they will roll lucky even though the account sending them has not received any luckies. As far as probability beyond that goes, I don't know. Supposedly they have higher odds but I don't know how much research has been done to confirm or deny this.
