Today i evolved my 8th dragonite
SW/HB
DB/HB
SW/DC
SW/HB
DT/HB
DT/HB
SW/O
DT/HB

I got no Nite beyond lvl 30....

I feel so betrayed

Answers

SW/HB for defense if with high IV.
DB/HB for attack seems not very good.
SW/DC for defense is not that bad, with high IV, it will be very decent.
SW/O may perform better than SW/DC, but it can't be used very often.

All between 87 and 94 IV

For me...double dragon moveset is a must on this mon..

Just evolved my 6th Gyara with 90+IV @ L30 but is there any use for his moves? Bite + Crunch....

not really, it might place well between two rhydrons to try and catch people using grass.

Evolved two perfect dratinis the other night and both got steel wing/ hbeam sigh....still shattered and heartbroken

Just power up then both for high gym placement. Dammm I have never come across a perfect dratini before lucky u.

Indeed is tough for you. Sw/O is your best one I think.
I'm lucky to have 3, with sw/o the worst of them. I'm talking about attack btw.
And since I started to fight with 3 dragonites( 1 week ago) I feel the difference in speed compared with using just db/dc one. Db/dc still better than dt/hu in my experience.

how's the SW/Outrage one feel when battling? Steel wing did get better no?

With sw I dodge all better than with dt and worse than with db. I found Outrage excelent vs other dragonite(i use sw to load full energy than kill him with 2 Ou). I start to prefer sw/o as backup instead of a 2nd hp vap.
For sure I still have to learn to use better both new ones (sw/o and dt/hu). Both are higher than my db/dc(crap iv) but I'm use to him and for now new ones seams in a different lower league, same with my max hydro vape, and above my dt/hp gya :)(still quite new, not yet fully used with).
New ones have 96 and 98 iv so they were and can be also gym holders sometime.

Dratinis are nowhere to be found where I live, so I have to rely exclusively on 10 km egg hatches for Dratini candy (can't justify walking it over Chansey/Snorlax). A couple of days ago I FINALLY had enough candy to evolve my first Dragonite (I did find one in the wild during a vacation abroad, but it's got terrible stats and moves) and guess what? Steel Wing/Hyper Beam, of course. Gutted. I guess I have to start over and work on a new one. I doubt that it is worthwhile working for the candy needed to power this one up.

Why u all complaint about SW? I always use ice to attack Dragonite, and SW is SE on Ice, rock and fairy which Dragonite is weak to. Perhaps not as great as DT on def but not far.
