Not a question Shiny Karp theories from previous post work

So I just caught my first shiny karp
I changed clothes like someone said put on as much orange as possible and also put the hat on, I didn't go out looking for Karps but when they popped up I grabbed them. I caught so many during the event no shiny. Caught a lot after no shiny. Cause I'm always hunting for dratini. I put the stuff on about 5 Karps later ... first shiny!!'
