No more spinning while driving?

Just a few minutes ago I noticed as I was driving home (as a passenger) that every pokestop I attempted to spin gave me "try again later". I restarted my app while waiting at a red light and was able to spin a stop but once we started moving I wasn't able to collect any more items. I'm fearing the worst : Niantic disabled pokestop a at above 30 mph. I pray this is not the case but what I experienced strongly lends itself to that conclusion. (Sorry this isn't exactly a question)
