Niche Pokemon
Heyho Folks
I guess we covered the meta attackers, defenders quite extensively, however there's also quite some niche pokemon like
- Poliwrath with RS/DP vs Tyrannitar
- Lanturn with double electric vs water
...
What are your favourites? Is there a list or might it be worth to create one?
- Lanturn

Unevolved? I think you are confused.
He resists every single attack Executor has and double resists all grass moves too. His own grass moves are super effective. If that isn't a niche specialist than I'm not sure what is. He has every single advantage you can have but he isn't strong enough on the whole to be good for much else.
I prestiged against an Exeggutor the other day, twice with a CP 1428 Scizor (FC/IH), then twice with a CP 1472 Scyther (FC/BB), so similar CP's, but obviously the Scyther was higher level. The Scizor beat the Exeggutor, but took a fair amount of damage in the process. The Scyther completely shredded the Exeggutor, faster and with considerably less damage taken.
Yeah well steel moves that aren't super effective will do that.
He shouldn't take more damage in any way in general since his added steel typing resists psychic moves while flying doesn't help you there. The combo double resits grass moves.
Let's review.
Scizor with bug moves has more resistances and hits harder and has higher base stats so he also resists more...and resists psychic due to steel typing. There is no way for Scyther to perform better if the Scizor has bug moves except operator error.
When I posted that, your post above said "Scyther," prompting Shjin's question "why the unevolved form?" I was just giving him an example from personal experience of a (isolated) case of Scyther actually working better than Scizor. Editing your post above to read "Scizor" instead of "Scyther" rendered my comment irrelevant.
I do appreciate the condescending tone, though.
