New wave of multi accounting?

Has anyone seen this? Noticed a lot of fresh accounts in gyms.
Presumably so people can trade with their own alt accounts. I can barely get a special trade in most days because most people have already used up their daily trading with themselves.
Also heard some people make alts for eevee day so they can use the name trick on shiny eevees then trade them to their mains.
Unfortunately my son is six and i told the truth when i set up his account. He is locked out of trading most of the alolans and lucky pokemon, lucky he has a short attention span as he was pretty upset when he saw the notices and i had to tell him they were unavailable to him. Surely via ptc you could have a setting to allow friendship with specific peeople. Ie me.

You are right about special trades deserving some thought, but regular/new catch trading takes so many misses to get a keeper. People probably do the smaller trades on their own and they get in the habit, slot machine behavior

Also lots of new spoofers

Our chat split into a anti spoofer and a neutral to pro sppofer chat. The pro spoofer chat has apparantly expanded pretty fast recently but the spoofers were supposed to play within certain rules which they haven't, don't know why people would be suprised. Wish niantic would actually bring in some consequences for spoofing.

There are now some significant additional advantages having multiple accounts.

* Boost Medals (Rat, Karp and Pikachu). See one - catch many - trade.
* Trade/friend medals. Much less fuzz getting those making trade with yourself in the evening watching a movie.
* Very easy to set up a strong alt account. XP is cheap these days and just trade some decent Pokemons you no longer use from your main account.

In addition to all previous advantages for multi accounts:
* Much stronger in gym defense/attack. Almost impossible to take out a gym with a single account, when someone feed from three accounts.
* Stronger raid teams. Make it easy to take down lvl 4 and 5 bosses alone or with a multi account friend.

Only downsides with multi accounts as I see it are: against TOS, more logistics and expensive (if boosting accounts with money).

I so wish Niantic for once introduce a game feature giving advantages for single accounters.

Trading old stuff for legendaries...you have to trade things you might like. Or sometimes trade things you don't like and you possibly get a lucky legendary in return. Either way, it isn't an equal trade all the time, but you might try to eventually equal it out over a week or month. A lot easier to do that when you are seeing the full ebb and flow of luck and unluck

I've considered multi-accounting recently because there's not much to do after hitting level 40. It also helps with shaving myself and friends out of gyms. Although leveling up now is a lot easier than it used to be, it's kind of boring to start fresh, so I've been holding off on it.
