New training system
Is the max prestige gained is calculated from your highest cp pokemon vs gym´s lowest pokemon????
I´ve just battled a lvl6 gym:
low: vapo 2100
vapo 2200
arcanine 2200
middle: lapras 2250
gyarados 2300
top: dragonite 2800
All my six where between 900 and 1100 except for an arcanine 1600 (for lapras)
Prestige= 4000
4000/6 = 666 Is this prestige given by the combat lapras (2200) vs arcanine (1600)?
If this is correct the update sucks
If I choose a 900 tangela for the first combat (previously 1000 prestige) and 5 lower cp to sacrifice would I still get 1000 prestige?
Answering myself: YES
Conclusion.
Sometimes you can gain more prestige than before in less time.
Sometimes you can gain more prestige than before but more time is required (choosing pokemons, sacrificing...)
Always you need more resources than before
PS: I need to try if you can flee afer the first combat and still get 1000

Thank for your finding.
I think this update is still suck as it allows one team to dominate a gym even easier than before. Today I see most of gyms around my place turning blue and a lot of them reaching level 10.
As for bubblestrat, I think it still works. You only have to choose all 6 pokemons with 10 CP.
p/s: You still have the choice to flee away and gaining your desired prestige. I used 3 Jolteon CPmax 1480 to take down 2 Gyarados CP 2000 then flee away from a Dragonite CP 3000 and got ~1400 prestige.
Fun but time consuming. Bringing down a full tower is more than 20 min only to see how the gym turns red almost inmediatly
Fortunatly coins doesnt make the difference reaching certain progress level in the game.
Now I´m only interested in incubators for stardust. Powering up is what motivate me only and it is quite repetitive.
With a full pokedex is not worthy to hunt more pokemons.
Until the legendaries or Gen 2 appear this will become more and more boring
