New strategy for PvP?
Trade mons with high defensive stats to receive those mons with lower iv’s to lower their CP in order to make them eligible for the lowest tier of PvP.
Example: Cresselia, even a level 20 5/5/5 Cresselia drops under the 1500CP

A Wigglytuff with a bad def IV will have a lower CP, so you may be able to go a level or 2 higher and remain under the CP caps, giving the possibility of better dps (in some match ups)
Similarly, with HP on glass cannons.
The IV stat that will effect CP the most will vary, but the principle is consistent.
TL/DR A lvl15 at CP1500 is a very different thing to a lvl25 at CP1500
